WORSHIP DIRECTOR
Grace Point is a newly replanted church in search of a Worship Director. We partner with Vintage Mission & Send Network, which means we are a gospel-centered, missional church committed to God-centered worship, Biblical preaching & practice, and church planting for the sake of advancing Christ's kingdom in our city and to the ends of the earth. VISION
We are praying and looking for a Worship Director who is interested in helping us build a worship culture with the goal of not just leading our people to enter into God’s presence together, but to do so in a way that is intentionally aimed at helping young men engage personally and powerfully with God: giving them language and models for how to pursue Jesus and how to lead others to do the same.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Worship Director is responsible for song selection, rehearsal, and band recruitment/scheduling on a weekly basis. He will also be expected to discover & introduce new music on at least a monthly rhythm (whether those songs are originals, remakes, or covers). He will work closely with the Lead Pastor to ensure that our song catalog (in general) and our weekly song choices (in particular) are Biblical, Beautiful & Purposeful.
REQUIREMENTS
The Worship Director must be an exemplary Covenant Member of Grace Point Church: modeling consistent attendance, joyful & sacrificial giving, and intentionally gospel-centered relationships with Jesus & His people.
Our expectation for the role is that it will require 15 hrs/week, divided between:
- Song selection, scheduling, prayer & personal practice (5 hrs);
- Weekly Worship Gatherings (5 hrs);
- Weekly Staff Meetings (3 hrs); &
- Care for band members (2 hrs).
COMPENSATION
With the expectation of 15 hrs/week, we are offering $1500/month.
